Birmingham Comedy Festival present:
Laurel and Hardy: In And Out of Service

Three classic black and white comedies featuring the greatest double-act of all time, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.

Block-Heads (1938)
After 20 years spent foolishly guarding long abandoned trenches, World War I veteran Stan returns home to discover his old pal Ollie's now a married man. (58mins)

Two Tars (1928)
Two sailors on shore leave wreak havoc with their rented car in a rare screening of one of Laurel and Hardy's most celebrated silent movies. (21mins)

Any Old Port (1932)
Having disrupted fleabag hotel owner Mugsie's plans to forcibly take a wife, a search for much-needed cash leads Stan and Ollie to a boxing match, and an unexpected opponent. (21mins)

Presented by John Ullah, Grand Sheik of the Birmingham branch of the Laurel and Hardy Appreciation Society, and author of This Is More Than I Can Stand, the biography of Birmingham-born Laurel and Hardy co-star Charlie Hall.
