Absolute Culture Smash

With Luke Anthony McDonnell, Sachin Kumarendran and Sham Zaman, plus support.

Three of the best up-and-coming black and Asian comics on the Birmingham scene smash your perceptions of society and social acceptability.

Sachin Kumarendran is a 20-something comic with writing and an on stage presence way beyond his years, he is a finalist in this year's Jason Manford new act competition and has worked as a paid comedy writer for the Labour party.

Sham Zaman is a staple of the Birmingham comedy scene, a high-energy act who performs surreal and sometimes dark subject matter on stuff including relationships, race and whatever else he feels like. He was a nominee last year in the Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award.

Luke Anthony McDonnell - also known as the Lukeman - is making a name for himself on the West Midlands scene with dark and philosophical subject matter. If others have punch lines, Lukeman has round house kicks. If Quentin Tarantino had a baby with Spike Lee who did comedy, this might be him!
