Nedko Solakov:
All In Order, With Exceptions

Bulgarian artist Nedko Solakov takes over Ikon Gallery with an exhibition of drawings, paintings, video and sculptural pieces for his first major show in the UK.

Solakov is a story-teller, rooting his work in tragic-comic reflections on everyday life. He revels in the absurdity of human existence.

Solakov's anecdotes extend beyond the usual exhibition space: for Ikon he recreates his 2006 work Toilets, a piece that involves witty inscriptions on and around fittings in the ladies and gents lavatories.

Ikon Gallery,
1 Oozells Square,
Brindleyplace,
Birmingham B1 2HS.
T: 0121 248 0708.
Free.
Tuesday-Sunday 11am-6pm.
