Nedko
Solakov: Bulgarian artist Nedko Solakov takes over Ikon Gallery with an exhibition of drawings, paintings, video and sculptural pieces for his first major show in the UK. Solakov is a story-teller, rooting his work in tragic-comic reflections on everyday life. He revels in the absurdity of human existence. Solakov's anecdotes extend beyond the usual exhibition space: for Ikon he recreates his 2006 work Toilets, a piece that involves witty inscriptions on and around fittings in the ladies and gents lavatories.
