2020 Festival

Birmingham Comedy Festival HQ

Huge thanks to everyone who jumped in to support the (deskbound) festival during these difficult and challenging times, especially to the esteemed Dan Whitehouse for doing incredible work while in lockdown, over the other side of the world, and to James Sandy, for creating the fab Objectivity show for the festival. Thanks too to all the artists and acts who contributed, mucked in, got involved, emailed words of support, and kept the flag flying. Good work guys!

Live Stuff

The festival that never was

We also have to thank all the venues, promoters and acts who programmed an incredible line-up of 'live' shows and productions for our 2020 festival way back in those halycon pre-pandemic days, only to have to reschedule, postpone, or cancel everything. We were on track for what should've been our biggest ever festival, so it was a real blow to have to scrap so much. Your hard graft is appreciated. But we'll be back in 2021 - and there's already projects being worked on, and stuff in the diary!

Support Comedy

Live comedy at The Glee Club

With venues large and small, as well as comedians and acts, all facing uncertain and difficult times, we encourage everyone to support comedy. So once your favourite act is back on stage at your favourite venue, buy a ticket, and when you're watching free streamed activities online, then please do consider tipping or contributing what you can. And also, spread the word - re-tweet, re-post, and get involved. Comedy IS art. #SaveLiveComedy

And Thanks to...
... everyone else who has made worked on our 2020 festival activities, including all those who'd already committed their time and energy to what would have been a massive live festival.
